CHAPELS

When our original Crematorium was built in 1926, it was the first modern complex in Victoria to combine cremation facilities with a chapel for services.

When this building was replaced in 1980, a new moden complex was built. Today, this complex consists of three chapels and computerised cremators, all of which employ leading edge technology.

Recently refurbished in 2007, our chapels are world-class. At the forefront of technology, services in our chapels can be personalised to reflect your loved one's life. Our chapels feature state-of-the-art plasma screens to play DVD presentations. They can also highlight who is speaking at the service. New AV facilities also record the service onto DVD for a nominal fee. We also have pre-recorded music that can be played during the service. Our three chapels are non denominational. We welcome people of all religions and cultures to use these tranquil spaces to mark the passing of a loved life among family and friends.


The chapels are available for Burials and other services. Following the service, families can stay within Fawkner Memorial Park's grounds to receive guests with a function in our Tearooms.
